This restaurant is SO good! I had the breakfast sandwich with avocado and my mom had the plow breakfast which had two small lemon ricotta pancakes and eggs and bacon. Both breakfasts were amazing. We waited 45 minutes on a Sunday, but it was worth it. View all feedback.
What W L doesn't like about Plow:
It’s a good brunch place but i probably won’t wait in line for it. Ricotta pancake was nice but it was slightly dry. Potatoes were good. Service wasn’t super attentive as they were super busy, but all staff was friendly enough. Come early during the weekday to avoid the crowds.Food: 4/5 View all feedback.
No doubt Plow is the best brunch in the entire SF area! I’ve been coming here for years and I’m so glad they’re still around and haven’t changed the menu because it’s that good. For first timers I would recommend getting the Plow entree which comes with your choice of eggs, protein, and then their plow potatoes and lemon ricotta pancakes. The potatoes are the perfect level of crispness to pair with the meal. The lemon ricotta pancakes are to die for and round off the breakfast with a not too sugary sweet option. They have seating indoors and out, but be warned that it can get a bit chilly outdoors if the sun is not shining. They have a few blankets to provide you but bring jackets too.
Quaint brunch cafe vibes that is easily the most popular spot in the Portrero Hill area. The line isn’t necessarily worth the wait unless you can find things to do nearby while waiting. Our group waited a little over one and a half hours and spent the time catching up at Farley’s over coffee across the street. Ricotta lemon pancakes were sweet and fluffy; they’re worth trying as are the plow potato’s for a good side dish. The host and waiter that seated and served us were really friendly, which is often not the case at these really popular food spots.I’d like to try the chicken sandwich next time around.
Probably one of the best brunch I’ve had in the bay. After being discouraged multiple times on weekends by the long wait, we went for weekday brunch and waited about 15 minutes. The food itself is not the most innovative, but it’s hard to find a place that gets all the fundamentals down as perfectly as Plow. Their signature ‘The Plow’ is definitely the go-to: the scrambled eggs was creamy, the potatoes just crunchy enough, the lemon ricotta pancakes with the right amount of tang, and the pork sausage seasoned to perfection. Will definitely visit and try out the other dishes as well ??
I first saw a friend post about this place and I liked what I saw so I saved it for another time I’d be in the city. My husband and I recently went the morning after 2023 Pride and we both had a very nice experience overall. The wait time wasn’t too long but it’s definitely the place to be because people kept lining up. Our waitress was very friendly. We started with mimosas and I had some coffee. We had the Hong Kong style toast to start. It was sweet and savory. We both had The Plow breakfast. Nice big portions and everything was prepared perfectly. We will be back again to try something new ?
Came here on a Saturday morning slightly before 11. The restaurant was full with about 15 people sitting outside waiting for a table. We put our name down for two and was told it'd be about an hour wait, so we grabbed a coffee around the corner. We came back about an hour later and checked in, and from there it was about another 15 minutes before we were seated. The food was tasty with the prosciutto toast and the potatoes being highlights, but it does require a lot of time and patience to get in. If you're in the area and willing to wait, I do recommend it though
