The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived. Although we didn’t have a reservation, they were able to seat us fairly quickly. If we had arrived just a few minutes later, things might have been different. View all feedback.
What Saminda Wijegunawardena doesn't like about Gialina:
The atmosphere was pleasant, but unfortunately, we ended up with upset stomachs after dining there last night. I'm not certain about the cleanliness of the place. As for the pizza, it was just okay—too much dried oregano for my taste. I was hoping for something fresher. View all feedback.
A bit noisy inside, but the pizzas were really good. pizza came super fast, bottom was thin and crusty! :
Good pizza, not too long of a wait, and feels intimate despite the popularity. The view into the kitchen is great, they're busy and having fun. If I could knock it for one thing, I wasn't really clear that it was primarily a pizza place. Would be nice tohave some other options; the ones they do have are limited.
Gialina is a small family run restaurant where impossibly thin but sturdy pizza can be found. My father in law recommended them to us and while I can’t say anything for the pasta because we haven’t tried it, every pizza we’ve had has been incredible. From constant standbys to more creative fare (we had a peach pizza most recently) it is all great. We’ve also enjoyed the vast majority of salads and appetizers. The only item I wouldn’t have again is the meatballs they weren’t bad but I’ve just had better elsewhere. Excited to have more pizza of theirs soon.
Good neighborhood pizza place in Glen Park. Pizza is very good and it 's always busy especially during the weekends. The mushroom truffle pizza was very tasty although I don 't like raw veggies (arugula) on my pizza, I just had to move the greens aside to have the slice the way I prefer. Margherita is my partner 's favorite, but I am not a fan of their margherita pizza. Overall a cute neighborhood hangout pizza place. It 's best to have the slices here, when you pick up togo they get mushy by the time you get home. Their flourless chocolate pistachio dessert was out of this world, light and very tasty!
Tiny little artisan pizza place in San Francisco. Gluten free crusts if that is your thing. The 4 cheese pizza was good until it cooled down into a cheese cracker. They also forgot to put the hot honey on the pepperoni pizza. We had to ask for it. Next time I should try the pepperoni with hot honey on a real crust.
