However, there are standouts like the handmade tiramisu and pleasant atmosphere that make a visit memorable. Great food can compensate for mediocre service, but in this case, both need improvement. Bambinos has been a local favorite for well-prepared pizza and efficient delivery. Despite some service missteps, the excellent food quality keeps customers coming back. Overall, it's a cozy spot with potential for a great dining experience.
We’ve been coming to Bambino’s for years. The food is always great, staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the prices are (by SF standards) quite reasonable. A shared appetizer and bottle of wine, plus an entree was around $40 per person.
The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and I would definitely return.
My spouse loved the tomato and burrata salad with prosciutto. I opted for the cioppino, which had plenty of great seafood and fish, but the tomato sauce was too thick and there was hardly any broth. I don't think I would order it again. The service was slow, even though the restaurant was mostly empty.
Bambino's is a reliable option for dining out. The restaurant is spacious enough to host large groups, yet still maintains a cozy atmosphere. The food and service are top-notch, and the owner, Costa, is always present and eager to engage with customers. Whether you're in the mood for a delicious Italian dinner in Cole Valley or a hearty brunch, Bambino's is worth a visit. You won't be disappointed!
Love the restaurant, great staff and ambience. We were blessed to have the owner, Kosta, come over to our table to welcome us to his establishment. The food was great and we came back the following weekend for the Brunch, which was outstanding.
