Afici - San Francisco

For my main course, I chose the pork, which was cooked to perfection, as you can see. A fun touch was that they sliced the pork right at our table. To drink, I had the Clarity and the Elevation; this was my first time trying both. The Clarity was unique and could easily stand alone as a course in a larger meal. The Elevation was delightful and sweet, pairing wonderfully with the desserts we enjoyed later. I didn't indulge in too much wine this time, but I plan to return for more of the nebbiolo and the Paul Laurent rosé. I really admire this restaurant, and while I could rave about the food at Afici all day, the staff enhances the experience with their thoughtful and gentle touches.

Went for our anniversary, rented the private room, what a special place. The best service I’ve experienced in a restaurant.

The food was enjoyable, but the main portions seemed a bit smaller compared to the first two courses. There was a nice variety of wines available by the glass. The service was good overall, but the pacing was otherwise off, with a long wait between courses; it was unclear whether this was due to the kitchen or the staff. I was surprised that they didn't inquire about coffee or digestifs. I sense they are on the verge of something great, provided they can address some of the service issues and clarify their dining concept, whether fine dining or casual.

While the food was excellent, we would recommend 2 small changes serve the rolls with the 1st course and include a fresh green vegetable with the 3rd. And find a way to heat the restaurant

We went to aficio to celebrate the birthday of my wife and had a fantastic and unforgettable evening. eating was fantastic, the presentation was an artwork on each cure, and the service was excellent. the food is presented in a 4-course selection and lasted approx. 3 hours to complete. my daughter, who is a very picky teenager, said that two of the 4 courses she tried at the top of what she ever had in a restaurant. the rest of us had similar feedback, although we were in the past in many top rated restaurants. the best sign for a great restaurant is that a large part of the conversation throughout the night came back to each of the things we ate and shared together. we recommend afici when looking for an unforgettable and special occasion.
