We’d been wanting to come here for a long time and I’m so glad we finally did. We were totally charmed by all the kids working there, from the host joking with us on our arrival, to our server telling us all about Old Skool’s mission, to the young jazz musicians setting such a nice ambiance upstairs. Everyone was super nice and professional, and you could tell they were also just having fun hanging out together in th... View all feedback.
Went for their Mother's day brunch ? Staff were great, the food amd drinks. I'll definitely be back soon!
The food, service, ambience, music...everything was FANTASTIC. What a wonderful place. We will definitely come back soon- a great place to bring out of town guests or celebrate a special event...or just have a really great date night. We had dinner here and then went to a comedy show at Speakeasy Brewery around the corner- so fun!
Love it. The feels, the live music, most definitely what they are trying to do for our youth. ?? ?? ?
Simply amazing. As someone born raised in Georgia, I approve this place! From the time you walk in to the time you walk out, everything is superb. I had the smothered porkchop with Georgia grits, root vegetables, and whiskey mushroom gravy. Roommates had the gumbo and short rib. We tried a bunch of apps and the lavender cheesecake. 10/10 and it goes towards an important cause
SF Restaurant Week SpotlightI’m from the south and this soul food hit the spot. The smothered chicken, mashed potatoes, and collard greens ?! And the collards were not cooked in pork (no pork on my fork), seasoning was perfect! Gravy on the chicken I could have quite literally sopped (southern slang) it up with a biscuit! The sweet potato tartlet has me excited for Thanksgiving with family! Can I order a whole pie?!?Cotton Club and French 75, perfect!Almost forgot the complimentary sweet potato biscuits at the start of your meal! There was no picture because I demolished in two seconds!I will definitely be back!#SFrestaurantweek #eatdrinkSF #speakeasy #nonprofit #soulfood #BayareaEats
