This is a very cute place to dine if you're ever in the area. The food was quite tasty and our party enjoyed the variety of dishes that fit everyone's cravings. I would definitely recommend eating at Jaranita and if possible, request to be seated in the back patio where there is an indoor tree! View all feedback.
What Terence T doesn't like about Jaranita Sf Peruvian Rotisserie:
The place has a lovely vibe, we had a booking for three and they sat us in promptlyThe empanadas were great flavour though I feel a bit pricey for only 2 of them. The calamari was pretty good as well.We shared the chicken and rice, which was very nicely presented and our server mixed up for us. The Lomo saltado however was pretty disappointing. Honestly I should have expected it, every time I've had loko saltado it's... View all feedback.
We were looking for something unusual in flavor and taste that only the diverse culinary options in San Francisco could provide. In the midst of the profusion of restaurants on Chestnut Street Jaranita stood out as an option for authentic cuisine, not generally available. It has an excellent ambience, especially in the large backroom with walls and a center tree decorated with bright yarn designs. Outside seating is available. Adding to the pleasure, the whole space is infused with catchy, lively, yet mellow Peruvian music. The menu is full of traditional dishes, with a kitchen that includes a live wood fire for grilling. We had chicken with rice, and grilled BBQ beefsteak. The steak had a good grilled flavor and the chicken was rotisseried. The rice came with green peas and fresh onions and was wonderfully flavored. Be aware that the BBQ sauce is a bit spicy. The drink list was not extensive, but more than adequate with a good number of yummy cocktails.Adding to the pleasure of eating there was the staff. They were all eager, professional and attentive. They all were ebullent, smiling and to be having a good time.

The food was so incredibly fresh and delicious. I was blown away by every dish, and I could just tell every ingredient was fresh, and each dish was made to order. Really impressed with Jaranita's food, ambience, and service. Each of these was top notch. This is definitely a place that does the deliciousness of Peruvian food a lot of justice.10/10 can't wait to go back.
Jaranita has been on my bucket list for a while, and I'm so happy I finally checked it out! I didn't expect to make it in time for San Francisco's restaurant week, but they were still offering the menu over the weekend, so it was the perfect opportunity to try out noteworthy appetizers, entrees, and a dessert. We ordered the Cebiche Clasico, Causa Cocktail, Lomo Saltado, Arroz Con Pollo, and Tres Leches. Everything was delicious and perfect for two people to try out different items. There wasn't much of a wait on a Saturday at 5:00pm, but we made a reservation just in case. The restaurant got a lot busier around 6:30-7:30pm, so I highly recommend making a reservation at that time, especially if you're hoping to sit in the back patio. Overall, the vibes and food were great, particularly if you're looking forward to a night out in the Marina!
Came here during Fall 2023 Restaurant Week and had a spectacular brunch for only $30 per person! The boliyucas were fried to perfection which made for a great first course. The texture of the yuca filling along with the slight cheesy flavor was delicious. For my main course, I had the suprema jarana which came with a massive cheese topped chicken milanese, salad, fries, and a fried egg. The entree normally costs $29, so this was an amazing deal for restaurant week. I even had leftovers to take home! We sat outside on the sidewalk seating on a nice sunny day next time I'd love to try out the colorful back patio. Service was friendly, and one of the staff even offered to turn on the heating lamp for us in case we were cold. Would highly recommend checking this place out for a lovely Peruvian brunch in the Marina!
