What Theresa Boyd doesn't like about Chef Li's Cafe Hk B.b.q:
I believe the delivery person was actually from the restaurant either way one of the worst delivery experiences I've had.The delivery person abandoned my food in the middle of a building on a bench didn't tell me where it was just sent a picture and saying they can't walk anymore I had to run and do a scavenger hunt and hope to find it before a neighbor got free food. Delicious fried rice and chicken ?. My son ate so much!! Sweet staff and support clean dining tables.
Headed here during lunch for some Char Siu (barbeque pork sliced), also got a rice plate togo with some favorites, let me breakdown everything I had and how it all faired Got a 2 combo plate one side of plate was spicy season tripe, and tripe and what I thought was meat but it was a dark grain of some sort I really don't know the name. This dish was served with piping white rice, shredded steamed lettuce and the two options of my choice the spicy tripe was delicious, slightly rubber but the seasoning was heavy and thick you can tell it is good when you pinch the sauce and your finger sticks together hell yeah!!!! The other portion of my dish was what I thought was a meat and more tripe, oddly it was tripe which again was good but the meat was semi hard grain kind of looked like dark sea coral, oddly like chewing into baby canned carrot but a bit harder Also sampled the Char Siu which was just ok not super sweet, it was semi tender most slices did not have the fatty meaty of 60 40 or vice versa more like all meat on most slices, meat was tough, and rubbery. Sadly I will have to pass on this dish next time Food for the spicy tripe dish Everything else was Price Service helpful staff Ambiance standard old school look, al la carte in front
Hands down my family and I 's FAVORITE Chinese food restaurant. Food is delicious, there hasn 't been anything we ordered that wasn 't good. It 's also very decently priced. My parents both love this place (and it 's very hard for them to actually like both the restaurant and the pricing). Everything is cooked so well, I don 't have a favorite item. If I had to choose, it 'd be the salt and pepper pork, it 's not too greasy and the pork pieces aren 't super fatty. It 's very good to say that a Chinese restaurant has good wok hay and they definite have it! Check this place out!

Wow I am amazed at how good this place is. I made a larger order for takeout, ended up being catering size of five different dishes excellent taste, quickly, freshly made and insanely good pricing. The catering trays of food were super huge. My favorite dishes were the beef and tomato noodles, the soft egg tofu dish w shiitake and wood ear mushrooms and the beef chow ho fun. I absolutely have to return because I think this is one of my best finds for reasonably priced Cantonese food in the area. They also have a really tasty Szechuan duck feet dressed in spicy oil on top of chilled cucumbers, insanely delicious. Actually, this might be my favorite. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. The ladies working there were so nice and efficient I called this huge order in and it was expertly prepared and packaged within 45 minutes. I suggest ordering directly from the restaurant to save on fees. I will return.
