Marlen's Taco Shop - San Diego County

I love this spot! Stopped in with family for a quick lunch. The service is amazing, the food has great portions, the menu is huge and everything tastes AMAZING. best little hole in the wall spot I've found after 6 years in San Diego. Im so mad it took me this long to find it! There's even burgers for your picky eaters. So great

So glad we found this place. The ingredients are fresh, and very consistent. Friendly service. Atmosphere is what you would expect for a place that focuses on great food (no frills). I was originally sold on the milanesa burrito, but everything else I try is great. I bring my friends here for what I would say are some of the best tacos in SD.

I went to buy appetizers and asked if it was fresh and the person who served me told me yes, I asked for two orders to take away, when I got home I had to heat it because it was cold and the truth is that it made me sick to eat it, it looked disgusting and with a very bad smell, I will never return to that place and I do not recommend it at all

I ordered a Chorizo plate with a mango smoothie, but it was just alright. The dish lacked flavor, and the beans had an odd taste and texture. Surprisingly, the rice was the most flavorful part of the plate. The smoothie was the main reason for my 3-star review as it had no flavor, and the color was off.
