What User doesn't like about Toscana Cafe Wine:
This place is right on gaslamp district so you cant miss it, I decided to give it a try when I saw a couple of people having steak at the out door seating. The food was okay, the bread that came out was tasty yet it felt like it was old, the steak did not feel like it was well seasoned, and the mashed potato was outright bad. I gave this place 3 stars because the service was great, I might go there again to try a few... View all feedback.
The atmosphere and dining experience were beautiful. Both the hostess and waitress were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the sausage plate, bruschetta, and the delightful alfredo, as well as spaghetti and meatballs. Everything except the spaghetti was fantastic. The spaghetti features a lighter sauce with strong herbal notes, which might not be to everyone's taste, as we found the rosemary a bit overpowering in the tomato sauce. However, the alfredo was among the best we've ever had. Overall, everything else was absolutely delicious and definitely worth a visit. Plus, the edible flowers were a nice touch!
I visited San Diego and took a walk through the Gaslamp Quarter, where I discovered Toscana Cafe Wine Bar for happy hour. I enjoyed the delicious Salsiccia paired with a glass of Red Sangria. The outdoor seating was comfortable and well-spaced for COVID safety, and the staff was very friendly. It felt great to support local jobs while enjoying my time there.

After a long day of travel I just got into the Gas Lamp district and needed to get a quick bite to eat. The service was quick and friendly the food was amazing. The ambiance set the mood for small groups to come gather and eat together making memories. I ordered from the anti pasta section of the menu and it was amazing, cobetta, type of meatball and a NYC style cheesecake. Great place a definite do again

The food was okay, the bread that came out was tasty yet it felt like it was old, the steak did not feel like it was well seasoned, and the mashed potato was outright bad. I gave this place 3 stars because the service was great, I might go there again to try a few other things. But for this trip the 3 is justified.
