While some reviewers noted a decline in food quality and overpricing, others raved about the exceptional service, beautiful presentation, and great views of the San Diego Bay. The upscale atmosphere and extensive wine list make it a great spot for special occasions. From perfectly cooked scallops to a delightful apple crisp dessert, this seafood restaurant near Seaport Village is highly recommended for a memorable dining experience.
If you want a nice harbor view dinner in San Diego, this is it. This was a client dinner, so yeah, company picked up the tab. I didn 't have the Lobster, but those with me did, and they were huge! I had the Alaskan Halibut, made with miso (i guess that 's the trend) yum!!! Right next to the USS Midway, so that 's cool too. Walking distance to the Gas Lamp district and San Diego Convention center.
Always great to get out of town and enjoy one of our favorite places in San Diego. We had not been there since March and we walked up to the bar to wait for our reservation. The bartender immediately recognized me and the way I liked my martini and made it. Of all the people he serves, somehow I stood out enough for him to remember my order. That customer service is top notch. Also thanks to Hurrican Hilary the summer was breath taking during our dinner.
Have you ever been to Top of the Market in San Diego? It's a seafood restaurant in the Gaslamp Quarter that's seriously top notch. The atmosphere is upscale and classy, and the seafood is some of the best I've ever had. The chefs really know their stuff and use innovative techniques to create dishes that are both delicious and visually stunning.I particularly enjoyed the raw bar, which had a variety of oysters and other shellfish that were expertly prepared and served with flavorful house made sauces. And the entrees were equally impressive everything from classic fish and chips to grilled swordfish. But the best part, in my opinion, was the wine list. It was extensive, with options from all around the world. The knowledgeable staff helped us choose the perfect wine to pair with our meal.Overall, Top of the Market is the perfect spot for a special occasion or a memorable night out. The service is top notch and the stunning views of the San Diego Bay add to the overall dining experience. I would definitely recommend giving it a try!
Looking for a night out with some great seafood nice place and pleasant ambience, but we were disappointed with the main course.
Had dinner with a friend and ate at the counter near the grill. Always a great treat to see how your food is actually prepared. Austin was running the grill and served us up some sample apps that were great. Followed that with Crab Cakes and Scallops. So buttery and cooked to perfection. Always great service and friendly staff.
