What User doesn't like about Stout Public House:
After I tried to find a place to get corn and cabbage on St Patty's, I finally hopped on the bus and checked this place. I have a few beers and enjoyed a decent, if clear, corn beef and cabbage. Hurrah! Time to close and go home! $39Wut? It turned out that the small plastic cup pours 9.00 a pop and my food was $3 dollars over the menu price. The waitress said it was St Patty's price Of course it was 't posted. So if... View all feedback.
An Irish pub. World cup in progress. So, what's on TV? Hockey! Ok. Of the many TVs, 2 were showing World Cup and most of the rest were on thr Buffalo vs. Montreal hockey match. Place is decorated with hockey jerseys. I loved it. Service and food were excellent. Prices were quite reasonable. I may get back to Stout some day. Hope so.
Fun and warm atmosphere I can either have a drink and relax or tend to my studies on an average night and enjoy a Guinness. You just may run into some out of country, yet, freindly traveller's here! :D
Great service, warm feeling. Tried and paired the Guinness stout in the menu with a pint of Guinness and it was a great match. The Shepard's pie isn't bad either.
Great local Irish pub. They have great happy hour prices, including Guinness. I had the chicken pot pie (see the picture with the ridiculous puffed pastry on top... Lol) It was very light and tasty. The puffed pastry was perfectly crisp and flaked into my pot pie, yum. The stew was delicious and savory. They add Irish soda bread on the side which provides a bit of sweetness. This adds the perfect touch to balance out the deep savory flavors. This is a hockey bar, so if you love hockey this is the place to be.
Best Reuben sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. Friendly service and reasonable prices. Definitely worth trying this place out if you’re in the area. One of my go to places here in downtown San Diego.
