This pizza is only decent. I saw a comment about the best NY style pizza being in San Diego and I would say that is very inaccurate. This pizza is good for the rest of the 48 states but it's definitely not the quality I would expect in NY and NJ, it's not even thin enough to be in the same category. I come to this business on a semi regular basis. The pizza is good most of the time but the service is blah at best. I have been greeted by who I believe is the owner. She was very friendly. I can't say I've had that same experience with other workers there. They are not rude but definitely not friendly. I bring my own plastic straws here because I absolutely refuse to use paper straws. This was my first time going to Sister's Pizza, and my husband and I met friends Jim and Tim who have gone before and love it. We had the Uncle Jesse (ricotta cheese, mozzarella and basil), the fried artichokes appetizer and the Southwest salad special, though they ran out of the cilantro dressing and substituted with a balsamic vinaigrette. Would definitely recommend this place for the food, music, and vibe. It was really relaxing to enjoy sitting in the outdoor patio space. Love supporting local businesses in Hillcrest and catching up with Jim and Tim.
The pizza slices were so great! They have a lot of variety of flavors and we tried 6 slices (Don Ho, Modest Mouse, Rooftop BBQ, Miss Piggy, Obecian, chickie chickie Parm Parm). Each was good and several were outstanding (BBQ and Parm). Highly recommend checking this place out. The staff was also very friendly and efficient. Wish we lived closer to come more often.
Love the pizza! One of the best tasting pizzas in Hillcrest. The staff can be hit or miss on friendliness, but that’s the only downside.

Great pizza place, good classic pizza with crispier crust. Great for takeout, dine-in is fine but nothing special.
