A group of friends and I spent a night in San Diego Gaslamp district. We went to six different good bars, but by far was the best experience in the Prohibition Lounge. Our bartender Nicolee was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The atmosphere is also fun here, it is dark and intimate. Nice little saying. If you were bored reading my reviews, you'll see I'm a fan of this kind of bar and they're looking for where I'm going... This was extra small, IMO. I felt cramped, very low ceiling... IIRC, the Placard said 100 guests, at one point we counted ~130. Exits were well marked and seemed accessible! The main area left of the bar was set up for live music, and I was there on an evening without music...... View all feedback.

I'm a big fan of SpeakEasys. Whenever I can find one, I'll try to find out. I came over prohibition. There is always something to decode to give a SpeakEasy. This ine was pretty simple. When the doors open to the cellar, the live music set the pace for what I wanted to experience. When I reached the floor of the stairs, the hostess welcomed me and offered a shot on the house. It was a decent shot. Of course, I had to follow this with the in-house fashion I believe made with Elijah Craig. It was sweet and smooth. The live band had pumped the crowd. It was a very nice place to have drinks and listen to music. If you love your spirits and live music, this is the place to be.

Would be more fun with a date and not my work Bros.
The singer Ash Easton was incredible. It was 9 a.m. to 1230 a.m. Cocktails are expensive for good reason. I recommend this place for intimate live music.
A modified hurricane. It was good with pineapple juice, but it was very odd that a bar didn't have any OJ on hand as so many drinks have that in it. Champagne, they passed out for toasting at midnight New Year's Eve.
