Definitely worth a try. The atmosphere was kind of funny. I like that you have the opportunity to sit in the bar with full service or choose the area that serves more self. There is also a covered veranda to enjoy your meal. Restrooms are clean, open handwashing station to go utensils, towels; they have ready for measurable fingers! View all feedback.

Decent BBQ for the part. Some meat and ancillary dishes are a hit or miss, but the pork and beef ribs were very good. Brisket is dry and not good. Cole slaw too, not good. Potato salad is decent, but the chicken was too dry!! Get the ribs if you? Ok portion for the price, but it seems that the part is based on the side dishes and not the meat itself. They also had a smaller part of the corn bread. $10 for a whole pan... View all feedback.
Excellent location, never a line and the same amazing Phil's fall from the bone level BBQ. Can't get enough of Phil's BBQ baby ribs, had a complete rib dinner with steamed vegetables and baked beans. Friends shared another full rib, with pommes and also tried the loaded pommes (tri-tip chips)... Absolutely amazing loaded pommes. In any case, recommend a plastic container and stay from the soda. Left with full heart and full belly, and an incoming case of ITIS (IFYKYK). 10/10 would recommend this BBQ joint and this location for families!
Large pork ribs, fun BBQ environment, cement floors, paper towels on the table. Nice selection of drinks with Coke Zero and freshly brewed teas. The tickler is great, it comes with 3 pork ribs, French fries, onion rings and Koleslaw. There the BBQ sauce is made there and it is a tad sweet and tangie, yum!
1. Let's go to Phil's BBQ. We have the family meal with ribs, sausage and chicken. Very generous portions. Cornbread on average was nothing too special. The food came pretty fast. Dining room full of people, with this popular place. I can't wait next time I'm in Southern Cal.
First time here and it did not disappoint. Beautiful atmosphere and beautiful food. Recommend the Beef Ribs but got a late recommendation for next time; the Philabuster with Tri Tip and the Tri Tip Fries.
Phil's in Rancho Bernardo. The food was great. We loved the onion rings. Personally, I liked the beef ribs more than the pork. The bbq sauce was also good. We ordered the loaded fries and they were decent. Staff were good and dining area was clean. Would definitely recommend and revisit.
