The fried rice was absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed the Sri Lankan coconut curry, smoked eggplant dip, banana fritters, tamarind glaze, and coconut ice cream. This meal was definitely not the healthiest vegan option, but it was a nice break from the usual dishes. As a new vegan, I may not have the most important opinion, but I thought this restaurant was fantastic. View all feedback.
What Nico S doesn't like about Hoxton Manor:
was actually pretty disappointed with this place. the menu really excited me with all of the asian flavors and influence sprinkled throughout, but it really did not meet my expectations. for the price point, i felt that the food was beautiful but very mid. View all feedback.
The restaurant had a charming atmosphere with dim lighting, but it was uncomfortably warm inside. We were sweating in our seats and wished the A/C was turned down. The eggplant dip we ordered was delicious, as were the skewers. However, the Octopus dish was disappointing and I would not recommend it. The potatoes that came with it were good though. We tried some of their signature cocktails, which were quite tart. While the service was good, the food was mediocre and it was difficult to enjoy the evening due to the excessive heat.
I finally had the chance to dine at this restaurant last night and I was really impressed. The atmosphere was a bit confusing to me, as it seemed like they were going for a more upscale feel but the tables and chairs could have been better. Our server was very friendly and attentive, allowing us to move from a high top table under the stairwell to a more comfortable outdoor table for our group of four. The food was definitely intriguing in a positive way, with unique flavors and presentations. Even the mixed greens were perfectly seasoned.
The service at this restaurant is fantastic, the shared plates are delicious, and the cocktails are expertly crafted (I especially enjoyed the Hoxten Martini). It's hard to find anything to dislike here, except for the unfortunate fact that they may not be open much longer. It's important for customers to support local restaurants like this one, where owners put their livelihoods on the line to provide us with delicious food. Make sure to visit before it's too late!
Although the restaurant doesn't have a separate menu for non-animal products, the waiter was very helpful in identifying vegan-friendly options. The mushroom skewers were a definite standout and we enjoyed them so much that we ordered another round.
