Excellent sauce and attracts at fair prices. They don't skip the crowd, even on seafood. A great mother and pop restaurant with the quality of an A-list restaurant. We tried most menus and loved every dish! Great service! Update: The Calamari appetizer was excellent, especially the thick Marinara diving sauce. I have two orders linguini with scalops and mussels, one in white sauce, the other in red sauce. Both were d... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Gaetano's Pizza:
We ordered a cake and Alfredo with chicken. Pizza was pretty decent for the price. Alfredo was very pale and chicken tasted like microwave chicken stall. Good service and food came out pretty fast. Overall, for the price, it is not worth it. Wife made jokes that Olive Garden tasted better? View all feedback.
Very friendly staff. They were not bothered at all by my daughter who was super intrigued to watch them make the food. The owners daughter was super friendly also. She talked with me and made us feel really welcomed there. The food was delicious. We got a pepperoni pizza, cheesy garlic bread, and the bianca. All were loved by my whole family. I love pizza that feels like the real deal. We will definitely be back.
Our local go-to for Italian food. Food is fresh tasty with reasonable prices. Highly recommend the Linguini Pescatore! Great place for families and plenty of parking.Food: 4/5
We have been a customer since 1980, original Tierresanta residents. Whenever we are in the area, we look forward to stopping in for our favorite pizza. Today we were on a time schedule, so I called in advance to place pizza order for dine in. When we arrived, clearly they did not put the order in, said another 15-20 minutes. Not acceptable coupled with the hostess and pizza maker we're rude and did not give a **** that they brushed us off. So DISAPPOINTED
They have gotten very STINGY. Used to be the best pizza in SD area, but not anymore. I 've given them three chances before posting this review. They 've been consistently cheap, stingy and rude (to go area only, not wait staff). I heard the kids of the owners took over and got GREEDY. They used to make ooey gooey cheesy pizza 's. Not anymore, not EVEN when paying for extra cheese. Save your money and go to Fiippi 's Pizza on Mission Gorge. They make delicious ooey gooey cheesy, ingredient packed pizza without charging extra. You will thank me later.
This is the kinda place that looks, feels, smells, and tastes exactly how it looks. Overall, I loved it. Being a child of the 80s, it brings back a lot of fond memories of places just like this. But that being said, it is just that. In no way has any of it been touched since. It literally is a time capsule. I had the Chicken Marsala, and it was absolutely delicious. Nothing fancy, no frills but really, really good. My wife had the Cheese Ravioli, again amazing and tasty. She never finishes any dish....completely gone. A couple beers and Voila! A nice meal. Kinda pricy though....???
