The location itself is small but the food is always so unbelievably good. I love coming by and eating. I absolutely suggest getting either the pineapple fried rice with the seared salmon or the Fish Pit poke bowl. They're both to die for. Pl... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Fish Pit:
Avoid this place at all costs. The restaurant is dirty and the chef was not professional. I attended a sushi rolling class here and was disappointed to see the chef using his bare, unwashed hands to serve rice. Improvement is necessary.

Zach is a phenomenal cook. we hired him for our private dinner party and everyone was obsessed. fish pit is the hands below the best seafood/sushi/fish taco.
Hands down best fish tacos you can get! The Blackened Salmon and Halibut were to die for...we will be regular customers when in the area! Owners are amazing, super friendly and helpful with trying to narrow down what to try from their awesome choices!
The best little hidden fresh fish spot in San Diego! It has a Caribbean island feel with the reggae music, and the food is so fresh, and flavorful with every bite!! It leaves you feeling IRIE! #ONELOVE
In a parallel universe I only eat this delicious food 3 times a day, 7 days a week. Yummmm yummmm yummmmmm. Come hungry. the pit nachos are a must, the poke bowls are amazing. If you like fresh delicious tasting fish prepared to perfection, this place is for you.
We tried the Pit Nachos, Poke taco, salmon taco, shrimp taco and the Big eye taco. OMG..this is our new favorite place. The fish was fresh and very flavorful. I could eat those nachos everyday.
