Great views, friendly staff, nice wine list. The food menu was small but thoughtful and portions were goldilocks. We were tight in the booth that they seated us in and asked to be moved and they did not hesitate. View all feedback.
What Nick doesn't like about Cusp Dining And Drinks:
The service was pretty frustrating. We weren’t allowed to order anything from the happy hour menu for the first half hour we were there because the bartender hadn’t arrived for work yet. When he did arrive, our waiter still got the drink order wrong. The view was good. View all feedback.
The menu is a bit narrow, but has enough. Prices are cheap for breakfast, especially if you stay here and have a diamond-level credit. I hear this place is pumping in the evening.
11th floor, that offers a fantastic view of La Jolla and the pacific ocean in the background... Service was very good and food as well...enjoyed it, and remember this.... if you're a Hilton Gold Member you'll get $15 discount off your meal... I had a glass of wine ? with my Margherita Pizza ?..
Great food and environment. Amazing views of the ocean from your seat!
I was raised in La Jolla so when I decided to visit town from Los Angeles to see some old friends we decided on Cusp due to the fact it has amazing food, unbeatable views, and is a hidden gem in my opinion. I have been here many times over the years and every time I have a great meal. I always order the fish entrée as it?s always cooked perfectly, but every other thing I have seen ordered also gets great reviews. They are currently doing work on the façade of the front so the views are a little obstructed by construction equipment but still La Jolla is beautiful enough it makes up for it. Our server was also very polite and attentive and was quick with the refills. I started off with the baby beet salad and really enjoyed it. It was light and a great start to the meal. The whipped goat cheese on the bottom was definitely my favorite part. For my entrée I chose the fish of the day which was a Seabass. Seabass is my personal favorite fish and I was glad to see that this one is cooked well and tasted delicious. This is a true hidden gem to me because most diners go toward the Cove area of La Jolla rather than the Shores so this would make a wonderful date or casual dinner option. It?s a bit small for a work dinner but aside from that I am comfortable recommending it to anyone for any occasion. They offer valet parking for the hotel, but there is a ton of street parking next to it so the parking side of things will be easy.
Huge disappointment. The grilled octopus was supposed to have Spanish chorizo and it was missing that main ingredient. I was asked about it and when I told our waiter that it was missing the chorizo the kitchen sent three tinny slices on a coffee saucer after we were almost done eating. The brussels sprouts had been fried in the same oil as the french fries and the octopus it was terrible and had burned pieces of fries mixed in. Don't order a drink, the simple martini I ordered was not even close to a cheap drink. i don't even think there is a chef there anymore, it is an overpriced place with a view.
