Down On Grayson - San Antonio

I dined here for the first time last Wednesday and really enjoyed the experience. We sat outside in perfect weather – a little windy, but nothing too bothersome. The food was excellent, especially the fire-cracked chicken, which was accompanied by a generous corn mix and a delightful side salad with a delicious dressing. I also tried one of their spicy margaritas, which was interesting and quite enjoyable. Surprisingly, the noise from Highway 281 wasn’t an issue, contrary to our expectations. The service was very good as well. I recommend arriving early to secure a parking spot under the Highway 281 bridge next door, as it gets busy. Overall, it left a great first impression!

I think it's time for a re-review. I had a chance to try the fish tacos again recently, and I must say, the only downside was that the portion was just 6 oz. Other than that, the steak was really good, and the dessert and drinks were large. They didn’t have a picture of my favorite whiskey, but the sides and appetizer were also great. The atmosphere was beautiful, and having the basketball game visible from our window-side table was perfect. The service was excellent, making it a truly wonderful culinary experience. I would highly recommend this place to everyone!

The staff is truly exceptional! The atmosphere is incredibly comfortable and relaxing. The spacing between tables enhances the dining experience wonderfully. Enjoying a meal outside in the gentle daytime breeze is simply delightful. The food is beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. There are numerous seating options, from cozy indoor spots to designated outdoor areas for non-smokers. It's a great place to stop for a quick bite while taking your pet for a walk. The bar area extends seamlessly from indoors to the outdoor space, catering to your preference. The hostess greets you with a warm smile, and the professionalism and friendliness of the entire staff contribute to a welcoming and enjoyable experience. There are plenty of parking spaces available, just a quick 10-second walk away—it's so convenient! This place is fantastic.

We had a delicious meal here. I had the turkey sandwich without avocado. they left me the chips for a side salad. both were really good. my man has the JK club with chips and he really enjoyed it. they give them many chips and they are very good. our waiter, clayton, was informative and attentive. they have both inside and outside seats. we would eat here again if we were ever back in san antonio.

Great Location, I truly believe that the service can be better. Everything starts with a water service; when you being served with water glasses that have lipstick prints, it’s absolutely nasty and disgusting. Only one thing comes to mind, who ever is doing the dishes is not happy or not getting enough to perform the task. The decor is great, customer service is standard and the food is just ok. There are better places around San Antonio. Also, this place takes a lot of advantage of this location and there is a fine line between good food vs location.
