This place was awesome! The drinks were incredible with great views of the Gaslamp quarter in action. Spent a few hours just taking in the experience. There motto is 'come early and stay late ' well... We did that. The fried calamari was tender-licious best View all feedback.
What Pasquale Pfannerstill doesn't like about Searsucker Downtown San Diego:
Good atmosphere. Food was good but not worth the price. The fries are fried in duck fat and were awesome. Brussel sprouts were good but not great. Thr Caesar salad was below average. Steaks were a little fatty. I had the braised short rib which was very good but they only gave a small amount of mash potatoes. They could've easily double the amount and added more vegetables. Place was highly recommended but was disappointing overall.
The Searsucker unfortunately wasn't anything extraordinary when it comes to dining and service.
My daughter and I had heard that this restaurant has great food and a wonderful view of Vancouver and it definitely was true on both counts. The wedge salad was a wonderful mix of sweet and salty, the prawn cocktail was perfectly done with a spicy dipping sauce and the served bread was warm and delicious. The service from all people working there was professional and accommodating. The view of the city was beautiful. I will make this restaurant a "must do" on my next visit.
The food was not as good as it normally is. The service was okay but not exceptional.
