Rocco's Restaurant - San Andreas

On a cold rainy day you would expect San Clemente restaurants to be less than full and we saw that at Rocco. The good news was that we could hear our friends and talk at normal level (vs scream in a full, loud restaurant). Better news, they were from professionals who spoke us room and good service. I'm the lonely person who's eating came bad, but I'm doing the review. My group ordered steak and lamb dogs and these were the best ducks we received. We started with the pumpkin ravioli and they were delicious, we shared it as an appetizer, although it is a duck. All, including me, loved her. I ordered the risotto with steak bits. The steak, mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes were excellent, but the risotto was served in a sauce that not only improved the bowl, it made the whole dish almost unusable. So note that everyone skips the Risotto.

Table next to us was way too noisy so we moved. After that everything was amazing. Server was wonderful. Food is always amazing.

Crabcakes were incredible. My steak was the same. Great experience.

3 entrees I asked about from the menu were not available. Filet Mignon entree was priced $8 lower on the restaurant's website than on the menu. 2 ingredients for my drink were not available. I should have left then. Dumb me. For the same price, other restaurants are much better. Once was enough.

I don’t think I have felt more uncomfortable at a restaurant before. The place LOUD, the service is slow. I was stressed and overwhelmed the whole time. Food was good, not exceptional. But no food quality is worth going thru something like that.
