So good I almost don’t want to tell you about it so I can still get in and get a table. First class food and dining. Great restaurant not snooty or pretentious and food is top notch. Hidden gem, axel took great care of us and I hope to be back to celebrate much more at Pazzo Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

I've had this place bookmarked for a while now and got to finally try it and I'm glad that I did. Pulling up to the restaurant, it was just down a little street that was mostly only street parking so keep that in mind. Walking in, there were a few tables outside and inside was very quint with not that many tables as well so some nights I can see can be a long wait potentially. Luckily we came on a Thursday night around 530 and was seat right away. One of the first things that you notice is the huge wood fired oven in the kitchen which got me excited for what was to come. We ended up getting: Beet salad fresh red/golden beets with argula and almonds. Super refreshing and not bitter from the argula) Cavatelli with slow braised pork ragu my wife said this tasted like her grandmother made, can't be a better compliment than that) New Haven Tomato Pie This is what I was most excited to try. Never having been to New Haven and it being listed as that, I just had to try it and it did not disappoint. It was light, crispy, good char from the over, the sauce had just the right tang, couple thin slices of garlic and a sprinkle of pecorino on top, it was just delightful) Housemade Fennel Sausage Pie Also a good pie in its own right, I just preferred the Tomato Pie more but if they only had this, I would be satisfied as well) Overall, this place was well worth the drive and would be a great addition to the date night rotation. The only thing that I would nitpick on would be that the dinner itself had a good pace but it seemed like to go orders were coming up much faster than the dine in orders, at least for pizzas

We have been going to Pazzo since they opened and have loved it. Favorites for us are the Linguine with Prawns and Cannellini beans, oh so tasty. The Sausage Pizza is also excellent. The specials are usually pretty great. The Lasagna they have on specialis so spectacular, but I've only seen it a couple of times. ; @Pazzo. We had a special Pizza the other night with dry farmtomatoes and zucchini that we were talking about for a week after, so tasty. We got worried last year when half the time thepasta was coming out completely flavorless, but that issue seems to have been resolved as we have had nothing but excellentquality for the last 6 months. We go about twice a month. My only complaint is that we very much miss dining in. They switchedto takeout only during Covid, but are one of the last to not invite people back in to dine. One of the huge selling features ofPazzo is their great restaurant, Cozy and homey with big wood fired pizza oven, wobbly wood tables and windows that open on toLaurel. It is without a doubt the most welcoming place in San Carlos in my humble opinion. We quite often ran into neighborsthere. I'm hoping plans are in the works to open back up and get this San Carlos intuition back to its full potential!

We had the gnocchi, tomato box pizza and the clam pizza. Pizza crust was nice and a combination of chewy and flaky. The pizzas themselves were all right nothing to write home about. This is take out only, so if you want to eat the pizza right off theoven, you will just have to stand in front and have your pizza. Overall better than mediocre pizza, but probably won't be back.
