What Kaja Czarnecki doesn't like about Le Papillon:
The tasting menu is not worth $160. Cod is fishy and the sauce doesn’t match it. Same problem with the abalone. The alcohol in cream made the dessert taste bitter. The appetizer is great though. View all feedback.
This is an interesting French dining experience. All the dishes are creative and beautiful. The combination of flavors is amazing. They have complementary small snack in between. We chose 4 courses for $140. The service was extremely professional. Yes, it's elegant, yes the service is very nice. The issue was the preparation of a few of the dishes. The crusted halibut was soggy? The fish was good, the coating was not. Years have passed since I first ordered the grand mariner soufflé and it has been through a few iterations. Tonight it was not hot and it was soaking (way too much sauce) in the sauce. Disappointed. The soufflé should be served on a flat plate. Not a bowl. It should have a dribble of the sauce, and a little fruit. I hope they are listening. I love the place! It's special.
Really great food very taste like my Italian grandmother would cook very nice atmosphere and great outdoor seating. Staff is very accommodating and very friendly love this place so much would highly recommend Palermo's. It used to be the old Paradiso's deli beautiful job remodeling and great food once again.
