Was Eli Massachi at Lava Java a mag?
Lady at the counter (who’s the owners’ daughter) was super kind. She recommended the blended mocha, which was absolutely delicious. We were visiting from out of town and she was kind enough to share some local areas to explore in SF. Thank you! View all feedback.
What Molly Malone`s Irish Pub dislikes about Lava Java:
Don’t waste your time. (This is not about the barista, they were fine. This is about the owner) They don’t accept credit or debit cards here and expect you to Venmo or Zelle them the money. I came in around 4:30 to get a quick chia tea and I asked if I could sit inside while I waited for my friend, the owner snaps at me “15 minutes and we close” when it says they close at 5 like- I just took the time to Zelle you for... Best egg, mushroom and spinach wrap, and the avocado and spinach smoothie is out of this world.
Did not like my latte that much. But the good part was that you can pay with Zelle. The pastries looked good too.
Small and sweet cafe with strong coffee, quality smoothies, and good tea. good pricing, fast and kind service. I personally recommend the coconut and banana smoothie. dairy free options!
They brew flavored coffee with their carafes so when you try to get a regular non flavored coffee it tastes like that gross artificial Kona or hazelnut stuff. They need to designate specific carafes for flavored coffee as the flavor persists for some time. They also just microwave their bagels lol

I’m planning on disputing the charge with my bank. Honestly don’t come here.
Lava Java, a cozy mom and pop shop in San Francisco, has received mixed reviews from customers. While some have had unpleasant experiences with the owner's attitude, lack of flavor in their drinks, and mishaps with orders, others have praised the friendly staff, delicious blended mocha, and comforting food options. The cafe offers a variety of beverages, including strong coffee, quality smoothies, and good tea at reasonable prices. With mixed opinions from patrons, Lava Java seems to be a hit or miss spot for those looking for a unique coffee shop experience in the area.

Lava Java owned by Annie, has been in my neighborhood for almost 25 yrs. Everything is reasonably priced, and the food that is prepared without a kitchen is comforting. Excellent chilled beverages and good hot coffee. Sidewalk cafe and limited indoor seating.
I stopped by and despite it being busy, the barista did a great job at prepping everyone's orders promptly. I got a croissant sandwich and it was perfect and comforting. I live next to closer coffee shops, but I think I'll start coming here more frequently. I ate one of the tables outside.
Great coffee and breakfast bagels. Super nice owner too. Veggie and cream cheese bagels was amazing, had some nice seasonings and great flavor.

I'm so glad I accidentally stopped by this place I really love their breakfast sandwiches and all the drinks that I've had so far are delicious.
I came for the matcha green tea latte and was pleasantly surprised to learn that it comes with a shot of espresso if you so desire.
