Despite this, longtime patrons still recommend Jerico's for special occasions, although with some caution. On the other hand, Alexander's provided a wonderful evening with friendly staff, delicious food, and excellent recommendations. The ambience was relaxing, and the food was exquisite with generous portions. While a server forgot change after a tip, the overall experience has made Alexander's a favorite dining spot in San Antonio.
Was a wonderful evening at Alexander’s with a friendly staff greeted me when I arrived. Had made reservations and the staff was fantastic and went out their way to answer all questions and continued to check on us and made excellent recommendations on what to have for dinner. The food was delicious and the desert was more than we could eat. Was a fantastic place for dinner
My friend and I went there after church to eat and fellowship. Our server Steven was very nice and professional. The bar must have been quite busy because our food came before our beverage. My friend ordered fish tacos and I ordered the Thai Kai salad. The salad claimed to come with grilled chicken, however the chicken looked like slices of white deli meat (it tasted like it also). I sent it back and ordered shrimp tacos and I was brought fish tacos instead. Steven apologized for the mistake and corrected it. I found that to be very commendable, as I have eaten in upper scale restaurants where the server acted like the error was the fault of the patron. All in all we enjoyed ourselves. But I do think it is sad when you call deli meat grilled chicken. You see I 've had that salad in other restaurants with pieces of grilled Chicken.
The food was exquisite as always! Enormous food Portions! The presentation was delightful with a beautiful contrast of appealing colors. The ambience restful and relaxing. The service was ok, but server forgot my change after generous tip. Jay Alexander’s is so consistently excellent that I can easily overlook this one occasion. This has easily become my favorite restaurant in SanAntonio. I’m looking forward to my next dining experience there.
Great experience. Love the Ahi. It’s the best in San Antonio.
