Upon entering the establishment I passed by and said hello to an employee who was on her cell call. I proceeded to wait 5 minutes while shefinished her call to place my order. She didn't offer an apology and she was quite short with her responses. I asked about thesauce adding that I mainly came to purchase spicy sauce and was told we don't sell it anymore. Okay great where can I get it? Wedon't sell it. Perhaps a corporate office? No! We don't sell it. The food was delicious after my long walk however after goingto this place for 20 plus year's at the Sunnyvale location which is gone. I'm done. I'm a flight attendant and a manager at astadium customer service is what makes the experience and excites people to return. Happy House N. 5th street I came a long wayto get your food because it is that good however, as hard as I work for my I feel a pleasant experience as I hand it overis the least of my expectations.

The biggest letdown is that they no... read more I've been a loyal customer at Happi House since I was 15, and now at 43, I’m disappointed with the direction they’ve taken. The biggest letdown is that they no longer sell their signature teriyaki sauce bottles, blaming it on the pandemic – but the pandemic is over. I really hope they bring those bottles back soon. The prices have become way too high, while the portions are incredibly small. I used to love the salad and chicken teriyaki strips with brown rice, but now it just doesn’t feel worth it. Happi House used to be a charming spot, especially back in the '90s near Japantown, but their focus on pandemic excuses feels excessive. It’s sad to see a place with so much potential struggle, and I keep warning my family and friends not to waste their money here. The management really needs to rethink their business approach if they want to survive. Located on 5th Street in San Jose, this restaurant used to be a favorite, but now it feels overpriced and underwhelming. The tiny portions won’t satisfy anyone, and without the teriyaki bottles, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. I hope they turn things around, but until then, I can’t recommend Happi House.
