Dona Esther Mexican Restaurant

We have recently visited a function here. the personal was super helpful and proaktiw. our group had the buffet that was fresh, hot, delicious, not too spicy and very satisfying. we look forward to return to lunch / dinner at our next visit to san juan batista.

That was waiting long, but it was the weekend, so it should be expected. I ordered the chile verde plate because I judge all Mexican restaurants by their ability to judge this simple but easy to lay plate. That was it. I had this court a million times from san francisco to new mexico and guadalajara mexiko. I live now in san juan and I recommend it!

Was on a family trip decided to have lunch here and lets just say we were very disappointed. Not authentic at all. It was if they served the food on plate and then placed it in the microwave for way to long. I always order nachos because, I mean how can you mess up nacho lol but they proved me wrong. The nachos were so bad, everything was bad honestly. When the waitress was about to take our drinks she was yelled at from across the restaurant that that wasn"t her table by the manger I supposed. She looked so embarrassed, it was very uncomfortable for us and her. That should of been our first sign to leave. Well, lesson learned. Good luck if you decide to eat here.

Slow service never got drink we ordered. Misleading menu about buy one at full price get second at discount.was charged full price for four entries when I pointed it out they only reduced price on one instead of two. Wife's food to salty.Maybe this was due to large crowds for anniversary day of restaurant as in past we had better service and food quality.

As usual, Dona Esther's food was delicious and the service makes you feel like family. I always enjoy eating there.
