Very delicious and authentic Arabic food, went there with my Egyptian friend and he loved it. Mixed shawarma plate is a good way for meat lovers to try all the different types of meat, I really enjoyed the pork and lamb. Authentic food and great prices , got the arabi style chicken shawarma and it was delicious . It was my friends first time trying any middle eastern good and he loved it. Definetly the spot to be for middle eastern food in San Mateo.
The owners wife is the most adorable person ever. She speaks very little English but cooks the most authentic and yummy local Arab dishes every Friday.
Food is very tasty and also healthy, a difficult combination to achieve. Decor is simple but very clean. Not someplace I'd take a date, but great for a quick lunch or dinner.
Personal and office favorite. The chicken shawarma salad is the BEST. And don't forget the red chili sauce the perfect complement to any of the food at Albayk.
