The family owned hotel restaurant has a very lovely and rustic interior, set in a historic Engadine house from the 17th century. Really cosy and traditional vibes. Located at Samedan, a small and quiet town that’s 10 15 minutes away from St. Moritz, but business was bustling and the restaurant was fully booked for the weekend. However they managed to accommodate my last minute dinner reservation request on my last evening here. The staff were really warm, friendly and hospitable, and they were very patient and helpful with recommendations of their homemade ravioli (a variety of different recipes and other dishes that they offer on their menu there’s an English menu, do ask for one if you need it. Started with the Engadiner Gerstensuppe (Engadine barley soup had a small serving which they suggested so the meal wouldn’t be too filling for me. For the mains I had the Ravioli Valtellina (Swiss chard, savoy cabbage, garlic, onions, Casera (cheese , sage butter and dried sliced beef . Both dishes were absolutely tasty the soup was light and simple yet flavourful, and the ravioli was rich in flavour yet not too overpowering. Had some of their local beers as well. The La Pus'ciavina Cuntadina buckwheat special ale paired really well with the ravioli (based on their recommendations and the Engadiner Palu Amber beer was nice and refreshing to drink. It was very crowded and busy at the restaurant, but the staff were attentive and all smiles (even the customers as well , and their service was absolutely impeccable! I had a really wonderful time during my weekend here, and would love to stay and dine here again at Central if I visit Switzerland and St. Moritz in the future 10/10 and I can’t recommend enough, thank you so much! : Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
