T... read more After visiting the three madrasas located in the famous square, we decided to have lunch at the restaurant called Joto, which is right across from the square. The restaurant is simple and can accommodate up to 50 people. On the day we visited, it was crowded with our group of 16 people, another group of around 12 Iranians, and other diners. The menu offered various salads and a hearty soup with lentils, chickpeas, rice, and beans. Personally, I didn't enjoy the soup and left half of it. For the main course, I had a delicious steak with rice, chips, peppers, and stir-fried vegetables. The highlight of the meal was the dessert, which was one of the best we have ever had, featuring two tomatoes. The restaurant had a couple of hookahs for those who wanted to smoke, giving it an oriental atmosphere. Our guide informed us that this was a typical restaurant for groups, especially Spanish ones, and we were very pleased with our dining experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
