Kettle - SALUDA
Kettle
Description
Nestled conveniently off the highway, this restaurant offers a mix of experiences that seem to diverge sharply among visitors. While some admire its inviting ambiance and homemade dishes, such as the well-received sweet potato soup and chocolate coconut cake, others lament the inconsistency in food quality, citing pre-packaged ingredients and small portion sizes. Despite some guests appreciating the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, issues with limited hours and questionable marketing practices raise concerns. Ultimately, the restaurant's charm lies in its local artisan shops, although it faces a critical need for quality improvement to truly satisfy its diverse clientele.

Everything was overpriced and the food was something I could have made better at home. Nice hometown atmosphere
My mom and I stopped here for lunch yesterday on the way from Folly Beach SC back to Kentucky. We were looking for a non-chain restaurant and I'm so glad we did! Mom had eggs, toast, and cheese grits. I had the enchilada soup, green salad, and cornbread. We had a side of watermelon and strawberries. As we were eating, our hostess brought out a hot slice of Amish pie for each of us. Everything was very good, particularly the produce and soup. Our bill was just under $17. I feel like the place is a great value. Also, the place is full of locally made crafts. I fell in love with the work of a potter named David Parris. Two beautiful rice bowls and a tall pitcher now grace my home.
Great wraps and homemade soups! Especially liked the chocolate coconut cake yum yum. Warm and friendly atmosphere lots of local artwork to see and purchase. Look forward to warmer weather to eat on large wrap around porch
