Our pizzas seemed to be the kind you cook from frozen at home and were tasteless and my daughter 's had hair on it. My pizza came about 5 min later. We also ordered pasta carbonara but got bolognese instead apparently because we said 'penne ' which only comes as bolognese although we did clearly say 'carbonara '. We had to ask for napkins and these were delivered after our meal together with an eye roll from the waitress. Two dishes that we did not order were also delivered to our table and sent back. Food at this place was cheaper than many of the other places we ate at while in Barcelona (rightfully so! , though soft drinks were €3.50 each thus hiking up the bill anyway.
Waitress was extremely rude. My little boy wanted churros but she said he couldn’t have them and then proceeded to explain (in Spanish) the menu which was photographs (bizarre and already a bad sign of the quality of the food). I was about to say oh well never mind and order some drinks and she snapped the menu shut and made us leave as if we had done something really offensive. Totally ruined the day and my experience in Poble Espanyol and actually made be feel nervous ordering food for the rest of my trip, which is a shame as everywhere else in Barcelona the people were lovely. I understand more Spanish than I can speak and she was being extremely rude. I see others have had the same issue so I’m not sure how she is still employed. I actually wouldn’t recommend eating at any of the ‘restaurants’ in Poble Espagnol. They are all basically the same and it’s frozen food and mediocre service.
El personal es muy amable y la comida es buenísima.
Don't eat here. Even if you're hungry. I ordered a pizza. It had no tomato sause on its base. It was just a rock-hard bottom, brown/hard cheese and a few chunks of ham. My moms pasta carbonara was watery, cold, had 2 little ham cubes and didnt taste like anything. Our coke zero was euro 3,50(!!!! and we had to pay 50cents PER thing on the menu just for sitting outside. I complained hard and the lady waived that extra cost, knowing all too well that her place was a disgrace. Other restaurants at Poble Espanyol didnt look good either. We saw a table where people got Melba(! toast as a tapa. This is NOT a good representation of Spain. Do yourself a favor and bring food to Poble Espanyol or go eat in any place outside of it.
La comida para llevar está bien, pero el precio ha cambiado mucho en poco tiempo y la calidad del producto es normal.
