I made the reservation at the restaurant to celebrate a very special occasion, therefore I already made the reservation online >6 weeks before the visit. I got an confirmation via the email immediately. On the 23th, we made quite a long drive to the restaurant, very excited for the dinner…. But then; we came to the restaurant, and it was closed! There was a little note on the door that they were closed until 1st of august… this is totally unacceptable for a Michelin star restaurant!! We called a couple of similar restaurants in that area but because it was on very short notice, most hadn’t place anymore. Luckily 1 restaurant could make some space and we had a great night there with delicious food. We live in 2021 and in my point of view, you cannot give a confirmation via the email, and then just be closed without letting people who are really excited and come from far, stand for a closed door.

The service and the dinner was nice and is bot expensive ,but my opinion is, this restaurant is not a Michelin star restaurant. As I told the service was nice, but slow and at the and of the dinner I had to go and ask for bill. The dinner as well it was good ,but no more no less all the plates are ok and that's all, all of them is missing a bit salt a bit texture a bit sauce, garnish, texture, something. The overall experience is not bad but a wont go back I was a bit disappointed at the end of the dinner.

In this MICHELIN restaurant, the CHEF will cook local and fresh produces in the traditional way plus a modern gastronòmic touch. The superb sommelier will help you to pick up one of the excellent wines that she has carefully chosen to have in their wonderful celler. This restaurant is an experience that helps one to approach to the Catalan cuisine and culture. A truly beautiful experience !

Maybe I do not have a sophisticated enough taste for michelin restaurants but the multi-course dinner was unlike anything I have ever eaten and not necessarily... read more Maybe I do not have a sophisticated enough taste for michelin restaurants but the multi-course dinner was unlike anything I have ever eaten and not necessarily in a delicious way. the dinner server was nice and quick but spoke quickly and mumbled a lot and was very hard to understand. it was a good experience though. the breakfast however was AMAZING! best croissants ever and spectacular overall! it was pretty slow at breakfast but worth it!

However, we didn 't feel that the food was close to ' Michelin ' standards: average flavours; mediocre ingredients; unimaginative dishes. We had an excellent meal at Al Born #1 in Banyoles currently) for a third of the price of a meal here!
