Description

A visit to Dragon Fly Café in Salmo, B.C. offers a mixed bag of experiences from its customers. While some praise the exceptional quality of coffee and food, as well as the friendly service and charming atmosphere, others were left disappointed by the lackluster dishes and service. The cafe, known for its specialty coffees, delicious baked treats, and cozy ambiance, has been a favorite among locals and travelers passing through the area. The menu offers a variety of breakfast and lunch options, with standout items like perfectly cooked eggs and flavorful coffee. Despite some inconsistencies in service and food quality, Dragon Fly Café remains a recommended stop for those looking for a unique and cozy dining experience in the Kootenays.

So fresh and delicious. The baked goods looked exceptional, but we were too full to try them. A surprisingly great find in such a small place. Some nice local art and crafts inside as well.

This tiny place in Salmo, B.C. is one of a kind. Amazing photos of landscapes and animals by Canadian photographers cover the walls. And then there is the pastry case.....oh how to choose. Definitely try this gem.

The best coffee place in the Kootenays. In all the time since it has opened I have been a customer when I travelled this way. Never have I ever had anything less than outstanding friendly service or anything less than excellent coffee or snack or meal. Kudos to the owner for maintaining such high standards in staff, service and products for the past 17 years. I recommend Dragon Fly to all my friends.

Terrific menu, had a hard time choosing. All four of our meals were great. Got the brownie to share. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather however the inside is nicely decorated with pictures and artwork. Was surprised to find such a gem in this small town.

We stopped on our way back to Alberta and enjoyed a delicious breakfast, cooked just right, fresh and tasty. My coffee with Oat milk was great and we would definitely eat here again when in the area.
