Their quality of chicharrones fried pork hasn 't changed with the years however they are still an expensive place, we (two people) paid for 1 coke, one lemonade... read more Their quality of chicharrones fried pork hasn 't changed with the years however they are still an expensive place, we (two people) paid for 1 coke, one lemonade, and a plato surtido (kind of a sampler plate) almost $40 again quality was good can 't even think in complying about taste or portions size.

But if you want to eat the BEST, you should come to this place. Its like a 10-12 km from downtown-San José. Also you can enjoy other Costa Rican meals, good prices, clean, and good environment. Better go by night and enjoy the view. Fridays Saturdays music is available around 7:30pm local . They close by midnight. They have free parking. Suggestion: give a tip to the gentleman

Th... read more We ate at la Chicharronera Cacique Acseri on a Friday night and aside from the excellent food and great service we had a lot of fun with their entertainment. There is live typical Costa Rican music and also a group of enmascarados (colorful mascarades) that people really enjoy while they have dinner. It is a big restaurant with a beautiful view and authentic Tico feeling that makes you feel very much at home. As every place in Costa Rica, waiters and waitresses are extremely pleasant, courteous, and friendly. We will certainly be back during our next trip to this very beautiful country. Pura vida!!!!
