Pearl Inn - Salisbury

2nd time in 3 weeks and both times we agreed that the food has very little flavor. Chic chow mean, bland. Spare ribs completely tasteless. Since new owners food went from an 8 to a 4. Time to look for a new place after 34 yrs.

I used to be a regular, over 30 years, was excellent. Recently went back now very average and the place looked dirty, boxes and stuff everywhere. I won’t be back. The neighborhood will miss Pearl.

Edit…I gave them another shot and the food was great this time around. The fried rice, sesame chicken and chicken lomein were top notch. They did forget the egg roll with the dinner combination but at least the food is good again. This used to be my favorite Chinese place, whenever I come home from FL it is a MUST on my list. Apparently it is under new management and the fried rice is horrible, I’ve actually had better in FL (which is insane if you know FL Chinese food). To me, if you have bad fried rice, it ruins the meal. The sesame chicken was good, too saucy for me but still good (FL sesame chicken is never good). I will give it another go, maybe not on a Sunday (could be a different chef), I just pray this was an off day.

Used to be my go to place. Customer service is terrible under new management
