The Greater Good - Salisbury

Fantastic, really fantastic. the staff went beyond and beyond to keep the kitchen open while we arrived, after a long walk on Sunday, 26th May the greeting we received, put the ton for a wonderful experience. the staff could not be more helpful and polite, the service was excellent, the eating was from this world. we can meet the chef alexander who is really inspired by his craft. the atmosphere here is wonderful between a pub restaurant and a Georgian house amazing.

Just down for 1 night of accommo in a lovely self contained apartment. Super quiet. Super cosy. Well looked after with breakfast coffee. Being right next door to the pub is handy for excellent beer, food (from a different time! and a terrific open fire.

We stayed one night and wish we could have stayed longer. The room was very clean, very well appointed and the breakfast was superb. We did not eat here but had a drink and the bar was really nice. The owners are really delightful and very welcoming and they could not have done more to make our stay any more enjoyable. Wishing them all the best for another blow that is 2nd lockdown.

Great food, great beer, and great staff. The decor and furnishings are very well presented and adds to the overall experience. Whether a quick pint or a sit down evening meal you can't fault the enthusiasm of all the staff and this is demonstrated by the fine food and great ale always available. A must visit for any ramblers, passing motorists or those looking for a twist on the traditional village pub.

We loved the lunch menu here sandwiches, toasties and galettes. Simple, fresh, nicely made with good ingredients. We visited a couple of days after they started serving food so they were still finding their feet but we will definitely be back to see the new beer garden and try the dinner menu!
