What a gem of a place! If you're in search of a genuine pub experience, look no further! The food is absolutely delicious, and the owner and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. It was my first time visiting both the pub and the village, even though I've been driving by for years! I would highly recommend a visit and I'm definitely planning to return. What Robert Scott Jupp doesn't like about The Black Horse:
This pub has been closed since December 2019 and appears to be permanently barricaded. There's no reason to visit at this time. It's a shame, as it was a fantastic pub. I hope it reopens in the future. View all feedback.
We have dinner and a pint or two local ale on weds 29. we were booked overnight in a nearby hotel. we just want to say a great thank you to employees and management for the excellent kitchen, ale and hospitable. all, including the locals were pleasant and friendly we had a super evening in a very cozy, welcoming facility.
Thoroughly enjoyable, lovely staff and great food recommended!
