There was so many choices it took us ages to d... read more We enjoyed a lovely meal here for a family get together in this historic building. The gluten free menu was good. There was so many choices it took us ages to decide what to have. The GF garlic bread with mozzarella and balsamic is the size of a full pizza and delicious. We should probably have only ordered 1 between four and of us! Pizzas and pasta dishes, even the risotto were excellent. Half way thorough, I accidentally knocked my glass and soaked my husband! Staff immediately turned up with rolls of tissue paper and made us all laugh. They even replaced my drink. Our waitress was also great fun, and nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed huge sweets too and left, totally stuffed, after a very enjoyable evening. We'll definitely return. Highly recommended.

Despite a few hiccups, they handled everything well with a smile. We initially ordered lasagne but it wasn't available, so we tried the king prawn spaghetti instead. The prawns were good, but on the smaller side. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly and the chili sauce was delicious. They were out of the draught beer I wanted, but they made up for it by bringing a bottle and eventually a small glass of draught on the house. The calamari starter and salad were both excellent, especially the fresh salad. There was a mix-up with the bill, but they quickly fixed it with an extra discount. Overall, they handled everything with grace and humor. Well done!
