What Carrzoo Smith doesn't like about Amicas Pizza Microbrew More:
Calzone was cold when it reached our table. Ingredients were not distributed evenly, all the red peppers were on one end, all the ham on the other end. No discernible feta, very little cheese of any kind. Amicas salad was large (small size) but not very tasty. Drenched in dressing, chicken was bland and artichoke hearts were tough and stringy. Very noisy dining area. Service was very good View all feedback.
Everything was excellent! The salad was tasty, the pizza was outstanding, and the drinks were delightful. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive as well.
This restaurant is one of the few outside New Jersey that offers eggplant as a pizza topping, which I really appreciated (it wasn't fried or served with ricotta). I created my own pizza with red sauce, mozzarella, eggplant, red onion, and spinach (though ricotta was not an option). The crust was thin and quite good, and the sauce had a slightly sweet flavor that I enjoyed, along with a hint of garlic (I would have liked a touch more garlic). Overall, it was quite tasty, although the eggplant could have been sliced thinner and roasted a bit longer. My wife ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, which was also delicious. It was a busy Friday night, and we were informed there would be a 30-minute wait for a table. However, while exploring the streets of Salida, we received a text just 10 minutes later saying our table was ready. As for being family-friendly, there were many families with happy-looking children dining there that evening.
The best pizza in Colorado! Don't forget to try the root beer too!
The food is amazing—definitely some of the best pizza I've ever had.
Amicas does not permit dogs on their patio. We enjoy their food, but the reviewer who mentioned a dog-friendly patio is incorrect.
