These sandwiches are on a whole 'notha level!! Absolutely gourmet. They have probably 30 different sandwiches, and it 's a bakery, so they have fresh bread from that morning. And speaking of the bakery, whole 'notha level!! They have oatmeal cream pies that remind me of the one on Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. Everything from the bakery is so big and so rich that you can share them with someone you love. The service was... View all feedback.
What A doesn't like about Sweetie's Sandwich Shop:
I ordered the Mountain Club a turkey club sandwich. A club sandwich is supposed to be stacked on three slices of toasted bread. What I got was a turkey sandwich on two very small slices of untoasted, soggy bread. The bacon was fatty and not crisp. For $16.00, it was an utter rip off. The restaurant was very loud with no attempt at a pleasant ambiance. The table had crumbs on it. The wait was long. I felt yucky after... View all feedback.
Best sandwich I think I've ever had! Worth the trip from Colorado springs every time.
Hands down, Sweetie's has the most amazing sandwiches! We were in Salida for 2 weeks and ate there 4 times. And the sandwiches are so big that we had enough for another meal. I ordered the The Hipster Sandwich (fresh mozzarella, pesto mayo, tomatoes, and balsamic on a baguette) although the 1st time I was there, I had to sub sourdough bread for the baguette. It was still delish. My hubby ordered The Turkey Havarti Avocado Sandwich (turkey, havarti and avocado on choice of bread). We loved these sandwiches so much that we didn't try another sandwich the other 3 times we were there. Expect a line if you come during the heat of lunch hour. We tried their sweets a couple times but I wasn't impressed. One oreo-cookie looking item was so disgusting that I threw it out.
Delicious and unique sandwiches from Sweetie’s. Service is a bit slow at times simply because they get very busy! Ambiance is lively and pleasant. Take a short walk to the river and enjoy your sandwich at a picnic table. They also offer a variety of sweet treats give the blueberry bar a try!
Super yummy sammies! The place is hopping, so there is a tad of a wait...but worth it!
I drive 2 hours each way to eat here when the craving hits. It is worth every minute of the drive.
