Best service we've had in SALERNO (as Australians). Great cuisine and environment. Very reasonably priced bang for your buck. Pizza shared to start, two main meals, dessert shared, two wines, a beer and water for E34.5. View all feedback.
What FarAway794896 doesn't like about Zig Zag:
Don't be fooled by the deception of a decent looking pizza on the order page. We ordered 5 pizzas 3 of which were indistinguishable to look at and virtually without flavour. The other 2 were only obvious by being covered in tomato slices (a true margarita does not have these! and pepperoni respectively. Compare the attached photo to the website header. I don't respect deceitful businesses.
Excellent food and service. friendly atmosphere. Very good pasta and wine. Open on Mondays. A little hidden but not difficult to find with Waze.
It’s a little out of the way and just appears to be a pizza restaurant.....but appearances can be deceptive. We were seated outside where incense is burned to keep the bugs away. I had a bresaola salad to start which was packed with meat. My partner had prosciutto which was similar. We both had veal for main course, mine with bacon and pancetta, both courses were tasty and had plenty on the plate. We asked to drink local and ended up with a bottle of Aglianco. I now know why it costs 10 Euro, not pleasant but robust enough to complement the meat. With a discount for online booking the bill came to 53 Euro which was excellent. Service was ok, although the menu is a QR code which wasn’t helpful for us. Maybe have some back up menus? Overall though, a great start to our holiday.
On Monday night we discovered that majority of places are closed, so we searching TripAdvisor for any place open on our way home. This was one of few, located totally off any tourist track in semi industrial zone. But what a surprise waited inside great selection of pizzas, fantastic homemade pastas, good wine, very reasonable prices. At the end this one of the best meals during our holidays
