The Cheese Shop Of Salem

I can’t stress how much I love the salem cheese shop. This is unequivocally THE best cheese shop in the greater Salem area. The staff is attentive, the cheese is mind blowing. On those aspects 5/5 stars.My review is strictly on the hours. Under the mantra “The greatest ability is availability”, this is a -40 out of 100 cheese shop.11-6pm?? That’s one hour of open business for people that work 9-5. How is that even close to acceptable, please change the name to “Nanny’s and Housewives Only cheese shop”.I get that weekdays are tough and you’re closed on Monday, but 12-5 on Sunday? Why? What possible Sunday brunch event starts AFTER noon? Do you hate money? Why??All of this, is from a place of love, I love the salem cheese shop, it’s incredible, the cheeses are perfect. We WANT to shop there. But please of the love of God, allow us the chance to buy it.

I’ve lived in several very large cities in my life and The Cheese Shop of Salem is the best cheese shop I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. The cheese, the meats, and the wine are all top notch. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to let you sample some of the best cheeses you will ever eat. Could not recommend a place more for parties, date night, or really anytime you want to eat good meats and cheese.

Great shop with lots of cheese, wine, and anything else you might need for a charcuterie board. The staff here were friendly and knowledgeable. We told them what kind of cheese we enjoy and got several recommendations which we also got to sample first. They also had very interesting wine selection here. We came home with a bottle of delicious wine from Lebanon.

Stopped here the other afternoon after seeing posts on FB. New to Salem and was excited to browse. The staff was so warm and welcoming, and as I described what I was looking for, I was given samples and detailed explanations of each selection. I ended up getting some wine as well. It turned out perfect for what we wanted.

Everything we've bought from the Cheese Shop has been delicious. You simply can't go wrong. The staff is also very helpful and friendly.
