I got food poisoning here Got fooled by the high rating. Came way out of the way. We came in right after lunch time (1:30 pm).The food was not safe to eat, full stop.It seemed like it had been cooked previously and insufficiently reheated. Didn't finish it, of course. I got the “chorizo” vegan taco a few times this summer and I love them!!
Plenty of explicitly vegan options including a vegan taco (they 're big, two is usually enough for me roasted cauliflower, kale, grilled red onion, refried pinto beans, salsa verde, flour tortillla), vegan quesadilla, vegan refried beans as a side, and a massive vegan rice beans plate. They also have vegan chorizo as an add on. Beyond just having vegan options, they 're GREAT and well developed vegan options with a lot of flavor rather than some hastily thrown together option on the side. Plenty of non veg options makes it a great place for eating with a mixed crowd, although most carnivores I 've eaten here with say the vegan cauliflower taco is their favorite... It is mostly a take out counter with extremely limited seating but there is a park around the corner if you want to eat outside.
I have nothing else to say except that if you?re in Salem for any reason, you need to eat here. I can?t even begin to describe the deliciousness. Get the shaved steak tacos. Get three, you won?t be disappointed. The service was quick and the staff was friendly and accommodating, and I almost went back for more. Please do yourself a favor and eat here.
