Rose's Home Cookin' - Salem

We initially had low expectations when we visited this restaurant, but after our interactions with who I believe was the owner, and tasting the food, we left as huge fans. After eating out for two weeks straight, we were craving something that tasted homemade and cooked with love, and Rose's Home Cookin' definitely delivered! I tried the Taco salad, which was a delicious salad with homemade chili, tortilla chips, and a tangy dressing. I could tell that the chili was made with care, as it had a unique and sweet flavor that I had never experienced before. My family members ordered the chicken caesar wrap and also enjoyed it, noting that the portion size was generous and the chicken was cooked fresh, not pre-packaged. I wish I had taken a photo to share, but I didn't. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. Just give them a call or stop by - you won't regret it, I promise.

The atmosphere at this restaurant is clean and inviting. The staff is fantastic and the food is delicious. I especially enjoy their daily specials, where you can get three items for a great price. You should definitely come and try it out. They are open from 10am to 2pm Monday through Friday, so if you have the opportunity, be sure to stop by.

The best spot in Salem for a fresh and affordable lunch on a weekday. The soups are all amazing!

Unfortunately, they were out of roast beef which was disappointing, but the staff member was very apologetic and extremely friendly. I decided to try their homemade meatballs, which he mentioned were his grandmother's recipe. They were delicious, but I will definitely come back for the roast beef next time! Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere all received top ratings of 5 stars.
