Roberts Crossing
Description
Dining at this restaurant is an experience worth revisiting, according to satisfied customers who appreciated the friendly staff and great food. While some diners found the scallops to be on the smaller side for their cost, they still had an enjoyable time and plan to return. Others raved about the lovely setting and variety of menu options, with standout dishes like the parmesan crusted halibut over pesto risotto. One patron had a less-than-ideal experience with raw chicken and a watery cheesecake, while another mentioned the noise level being a bit disruptive to their meal. Overall, the restaurant offers a wide selection of entrees, drinks, and appetizers in a cozy, historic setting, making it a popular choice for a delicious meal with family or friends.

Perhaps my expectations were too high. The ambiance was gorgeous. Couldn't ask for a more lovely setting. My chicken was raw in the middle and overcooked around the edges. Not just raw, but it tasted old as well. The mushroom sauce was delicious aswere the veggies and salad. The cheesecake had grainy watery texture as if it had been previously frozen. 24 hours aftereating here, I was quite ill for about 16 hours. Had I been a person with a compromised immune system, this could have beenvery very bad. I can't in good conscience leave a good review, lovely setting or not.
The staff was amazing, super attentive and asking genius questions. The food was phenomenal, from the seafood to the pork chops and the dessert. A must for foodies.
Everything is excellent here; drinks, service, and above all the food! Attention to detail, locally sourced ingredients, seasonal deliciousness. The scallops are to die for! On Fridays they have clam chowder and it is DIVINE. And I am from theMonterey Bay area and i know my clam chowder! Plus it's gluten-free- BRAVO!! Their desserts are awesome too. I'm telling you, from start to finish, if you want a wonderful dining experience, Robert's is where you want to be.
Best restaurant in the Salem/Independence area hands down!! Feels like an old county inn, cozy and intimate; menu is five stars!! (TIP: Try the bourbon berry salmon! . Jeff and his excellent staff will make you feel welcome and right at home.Oh—and don’t forget The Shed for special group gatherings. You will not be disappointed.
