Maria's Sweet Somethings - Salem

Gotta say, this used to be a must stop when we travel to Salem, but over the years we went less and less because of the seriously rude employees, the overpacked shop that makes it difficult for anyone to maneuver, especially those of us with physical disabilities. If you use any mobility aids whatsoever, don 't go here, go to Melt up the block. When you move to allow other customers to get by, whomever is taking your order will just move onto someone else or leave entirely, because even though they can clearly see you are just letting someone pass in this disgustingly packed space, they take that as you not wanting anything anymore. Even when I visit during the summer and there are barely any other customers, these are the same conditions I experience, so you can 't blame it on the Halloween season. Frankly, nothing they sell here is especially unique to them, if you get chocolates or treats whenever you travel, you have likely tasted treats just like this in every place you have visited, so you really aren 't missing out by passing on this place. I have to assume the only reason this place is still open is local nostalgia and tourists who don 't realize Melt Ice Cream up the block is infinitely better in customer service, price and space.

The ice cream is delicious, and the chocolate truffles are extremely delicious and highly recommended. The service is very good, everyone is very friendly and the place is well located in Salen Downtown.

The ice cream is delicious and has a great mouth feel. They also rotate so it's not the same selection everytime. The staff are super friendly too.

They have beautiful chocolates. I got a few. So good! I also got a Red Velvet Cupcake. Helpful staff!
