Eating is always really good. The waitress who's been here for years is fantastic. pleasant and friendly. the newer employees/managers must get this balance right. décor could do with an update, but it has been so for years, it seems that it is now part of the character.

The sea bass was amazing, the meal was too. Chocolate and orange cake was the best by far. Staff was polite, helpful and there was no rushing you for tables. Couldn't do enough for you. Would highly recommend and will be definitely going again.

Sunday dinner was lovely , no mash though and peas on the dinner was a new one but lovely none the less.

My family and I came last night to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday. We all had a fantastic meal and the staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. They let me bring the cake and even brought it to the table at the end of our meal with a couple of candles on. We will certainly be going again.

I hadn't visited this restaurant in quite some time, and after today, I have no idea why I don't come here more often. The view of the lake from the restaurant is fantastic. My friends and I all opted for the early bird menu. I had smoked mackerel with cheese, salad, and some bread, while my friends enjoyed broccoli soup with poppy seed cake and butter, followed by tuna and egg with salad. They also had steak pie filled with a generous amount of steak, which was delicious, and squid with chips. Three of us ordered the soft serve, and the apple and blackberry crumble with custard was devoured in no time. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. We will definitely be back!
