With the person working there, who explains it is a fully trained bakery and that while eating in a kitchen that has gluten (they also have a restayrant) the gluten-free items are prepared separately in a completely wiped area. We just had lunch, so we didn't buy food, but she was over cross-contamination and we all my celiac daughter would have felt the food very comfortable. NB the Café called Time Traveller, with an entrance on the street and I guess there is a separate entrance to the Estuary Club from which it belongs. I don't know if the restaurant itself makes gluten-free coeliac safe food.
Popped in to grab a take out coffee and surprised to find that ALL their cakes brownies were gluten free. Chatted with the person working there who explained she is a fully trained pastry chef and that whilst the food is prepared in a kitchen that has gluten (they also have a restayrant) the gluten free items are prepared separately in a fully wiped down area. We had just had lunch so didn't buy any food but she was knowledgeable about cross-contamination and we any my coeliac daughter would have felt completely comfortable eating their food. NB the cafe is called Time Traveller, with an entrance on the street and I guess there is a separate entrance to The Estuary Club that it is part of. No idea if the restaurant itself does gluten-free coeliac safe food.
