Today, I traveled all the way to Nishito with the purpose of trying out this restaurant. I ordered the Niku Udon Tenkasu Topping for 610 yen. The udon noodles were not the soft Miyazaki-style, but rather had a perfect firmness to them. While other reviews mentioned that the broth was made with dried bonito flakes, I personally did not taste any bonito flavor at all. When it comes to dried bonito, I think of Oku no, Kitchou Udon, but this was completely different. I wish the meat had a bit more flavor, and if it was priced under 600 yen, I would have given it five stars. However, taste is subjective and this is just my personal opinion. Overall, it was a udon dish that I was able to finish every last drop of broth. Thank you for the meal.
This udon restaurant in this area is definitely worth a visit. It has been in business for many years and the taste is unique. However, there are only table seats and no counter, so I hesitate to dine alone. I'll give it a minus one for that. The parking lot is located next to the restaurant and is spacious.
I stopped by for lunch and ordered the Niku Gobo Tempura Udon. I opted for the large size for an additional 200 yen. I felt that the portion size was relatively small. The udon noodles were different from the typical Miyazaki style - they were smooth and had a good chewiness, but also different from Sanuki udon. They seemed to be a bit thinner in width. The Niku Gobo tempura was very aromatic and a delicious dish. The broth was on the sweeter side but very tasty.
